01.09.2015 - Shifting ground

Following an accident last year where I broke my ankle, I have been playing with illusions of depth, creating floor panels in collaboration with Dr Ophelia Deroy and Dr Merle Fairhust at the Institute of Philosophy at University of London. We tested the work in the lab and found that an actual depth of 5cm was on average judged to be 63cm. We presented the work at the European conference on Visual Perception in Liverpool last week.

UBM has sponsored a series of these floor panels and a related series of window pieces to launch the Future Heritage Foundation at Decorex – http://www.decorex.com
