This was a commission for a private collector based in Bejing, China to celebrate the birth of his first child. I took inspiration from stunning images of the mysterious process of cell division at the very beginning of embryonic development, building a cluster of 16 organic ‘cell’ forms thriving at the centre of a droplet-shaped form.
